What is a Middle?

A middle occurs in handicap or totals markets when two bookmakers offer different lines — creating a gap (the "middle") between them. You bet both sides. Worst case: you lose the vig. Best case: both bets win.

Example: NBA Totals Middle

Game: Lakers vs. Celtics — Total Points
Pinnacle: Over 215.5 → odds 1.95
Betway: Under 218.5 → odds 1.95
Middle zone: 216, 217 or 218 total points
→ If total lands 216–218: BOTH bets win! (+95% profit)
→ Otherwise: small loss (~5%)

What are Low Holds?

Low holds are markets with very low bookmaker margins (under 2%) — meaning nearly fair odds. Ideal for value bettors and as an alternative to sure bets with less account risk.
